Premise:
The premise for this project is quite unique and exciting.
Shakespeare himself constructed his writings so that they were not only entertaining, but also made comments on current affairs within society at the time. His work undoubtedly has stood the test of time, however Shakespeare Reloaded is a project designed to introduce his work to a younger British audience and give it to them in digestible binge-worthy chunks.
Technically, 5 of Shakespeare's classic plays, reimagined in modern constructs, with current day messages relating to us as a society. Each play would be spread across five 20-22 minute episodes.
The Plays:
A world of political unrest. For generations countries worldwide have adopted hard border restrictions. On the verge of conflict between France and England, the chance meeting of the Chancellors daughter and the Prime Ministers son results in a forbidden love affair.
