A bilingual, reimagined, modernised version of a Shakespeare classic. Set in a time where countries worldwide have adopted hard border restrictions. No freedom of travel has seen generations grow up in a world where they only every experience what their culture has to offer. London is the last possible hub for head of government meetings but is about to close its boundaries
as well. We enter at a volatile time where England and France, former allies, are on the brink of a war as they can't make their mind on who is to keep the Jersey and Guernsey Islands . Another strike mouvement rises because of Expats who want to remain in London and created a secret borough called Mantua. The two heads, Prime Minister Capulet of England and Ambassador Montague of France are fighting in court for who is to keep the islands and use Media as their main tool for manipulation. At this summit, Romeo, the
son of the English Prime Minister meets the daughter of the French Ambassador. A story of forbidden love unfolds between those two "Indigo" children.
Indigo Child * : Indigo children, according to a pseudoscientific New Age concept,are children who are believed to possess special, unusual, and sometimes supernatural traits or abilities and being the next stage in human evolution, in some cases possessing paranormal abilities such as telepathy, to the belief that they are more empathetic and creative than their peers.
Romeo
The son of Prime Minister Montague. A young british gentleman of about 18, Romeo is handsome, intelligent, and hypersensitive. He does premonitory dreams and has visions about the future he struggles to read into. He secrectly fights again the political system his family put into place and takes part in the Mantua (secret borough) mouvement. He lives in the middle of a violent feud between his family and the Capulets, but he is not at all interested in violence. His only interest is love and piece. He loves cricket which he regularly practices with Mercutio and Benvolio. He's also a very good singer.
Juliette
The daughter of French Ambassador Capulet and Mrs Capulet. She's 18 years old and grew up in london. She's also hypersensitive and does premonitory dreams, has visions about the future she struggles to read into. She's a fighter and is rebellious. She secretly funds the Mantua mouvement. She studies philosophy at universtiy. Niamh, her former Irish aupair who now helps with house maintenance, became her best friend. She doesn't want to leave London as she considers it her home.
Mayor Lawrence
He's the mayor of London and is trying to fight against the political mouvement put into place as he can. He is in good terms with both Capulet and Montague households as he's trying to maintain piece. He's a very spiritual man and feels very connected to Romeo and Juliette's struggles. He's aware of what's happening in Mantua and is trying secretly to help the mouvement.
Niamh: Juliette's former Aupair, she's now still working for the Capulet's household and wants to remain with them. She doesn't want to go back to Ireland as she has nothing holding her back there, no family or friends. The capulets are her only family. Juliette became her best friend. She's trying to get the French Nationality to be eligible to move to France with them and is under a lot of pressure.
Mercutio
A cousin the the Judge, he's Italian but recently got the British nationality to remain in the UK. As a cousin of the main Judge at the International Court of Justice, he feels on top of the law. He's a shark personality. He's a very successful business man, excited by the idea of created startups. He lives in a world of party, drugs and is a fighter. He's fighting for the UK to get ownership over the Guersney and Jersey Islands.
Tybalt:
A Capulet, Juliet’s cousin on her mother’s side. Vain, fashionable, supremely aware of courtesy and the lack of it, he becomes aggressive, quickly violent when he feels his pride has been injured. He's very similar to Mercutio which is why they don't get along. He's fighting for France to get ownership over the Guersney and Jersey Islands.
